Embarassing Gaffes In The Kenyatta Administration

President Kenyatta is without doubt a cool president. From dancing with kids,
adorning military attire, buying soda from a kibanda to being spotted singing
out Sauti Sol’s song on National TV. As much as we love him, his style of
leadership has come under scrutiny number of times. He has often issued
directives that later came to dent his popularity and public confidence.

Kenyans will remember how he repeatedly stated that the Mpeketoni
attacks were politically and ethnic motivated even though Alshabab
terror group had claimed responsibility for the attacks that led to a frenzy
of hate speech messages on social media. Recently, He made a trip to Taita
Taveta with a whopping 13 choppers escorting him and his entourage amid
Cries from security forces in the North Eastern Region who are in need of sufficient
Facilities like these to help them combat insecurity.

A day to the Garissa University attack he dismissed travel advisories from Austaralia
and Britain to their nationals advising them to keep of the North and Coast Regions
of Kenya due to imminent terror strikes by Alshabaab.” Let their taxi drivers not come.
The US President is coming.” He said to an audience. He later issued a directive that
ignoring a court order that the 10,000 recruits who were put on hold over a corruption
filled process in their recruitment to start their training. A week later the order was quashed
for constitutional reasons.

President Uhuru has major positive, productive, and impressive projects such as the Last Mile
Project, Huduma Centers and IFMST projects just to name a few. However this gaffes are too
costly for his image
